Music practice for iPhone

Every practice
counts.

A metronome, a tuner, an ear trainer and a score library that plays back to you — gathered into one quiet circle, so nothing stands between you and the music.

♩ = 72 · this page is keeping time

GoPrac practice screen: a single dial showing 72 BPM, with the beat dot travelling inside the circle

Practice

One circle
keeps the time.

Turn the ring to set the tempo — anywhere from 30 to 999 BPM. Tap the tiles for metre and timer, then press once to begin. The screen clears while you play, and a single dot travels the circle so you always know where you are in the bar.

72BPM · Adagio

Try it — drag around the ring to change the tempo, then press play.

Playing — everything else steps aside
  • Only real practice counts. Pauses never add up, and every session is saved to your Logbook.
  • Tempo routes. Step up or glide smoothly, bar by bar, towards the tempo you’re aiming for.
  • Hold for more. Press and hold the centre button to record, to end and save, or to keep the session as a plan.
  • Every rhythm. Count-ins, dotted figures, subdivisions up to septuplets, and a voice that counts aloud in English or Chinese.
  • Goals that make sense. Practise for a set time or a number of repetitions — “Rep 3 of 8 · bar 5/12”.

Thirty-six medals for the long road — from your first five minutes to your five-thousandth day.

Tuner

Tuned to
half a cent.

GoPrac listens, finds the string and shows you exactly where you are — the note, the hertz, the cents, and two waves that slide into one as you reach pitch.

Ear

See what
you hear.

Every interval has a shape. Two notes draw a Lissajous curve; three notes turn it into a slowly spinning knot. Answer — and if you miss, your choice appears in amber beside the right one, so you can see the difference as well as hear it.

Choose an interval to hear it — and watch it draw.

  • One question after another. Swipe up for the next, as easily as scrolling a feed.
  • Piano demonstrations, and answers you can sing or play into the microphone.
  • A full path through sight-singing, ear training and theory, when you want structure.

Scores

A score that
plays back.

Import Guitar Pro, MusicXML or MIDI and GoPrac sets it like a printed page — standard notation, tab and numbered notation, together or apart. Press play: the cursor walks the bars, the metronome joins in, and you can slow to 50%, loop a passage, or hear the melody sung back in solfège.

A cover for every piece

GoPrac designs a poster for each score from its title, composer and instrument — ten styles, from aurora to overprint. Or open the Poster Room and make your own.

GoPrac Fret: Bip, in a denim cap with a guitar on his back, runs along a glowing six-string road at sunset

GoPrac Fret

And when it’s time to play — play.

Inside GoPrac lives a game. Notes fall down six glowing lanes, one for each string, with the fret number on the leading edge. Pick up your guitar, switch on the microphone, and GoPrac Fret listens as you play along.

  • Melody, bass or chords — three ways through every song.
  • Listen first, or play now. Tap or microphone, your choice.
  • Slow the music down without losing your reading time.
  • Your Guitar Pro files become levels. Violin and cello get four fretless lanes.
